Pak-China strong steel friendship
Pakistan
has launched celebrations to mark the 70th anniversary of China Iron Brothers'
sweeter honey, deeper than the seas and everlasting friendship over the
Himalayas. On the occasion, Foreign Minister Qureshi paid tribute to the
Chinese leadership and said, It is believed that the leadership of President Xi
Jinping has greatly helped the Chinese nation in fulfilling its national
aspirations.
The
Foreign Minister said that successive generations of leaders and peoples of
both Pakistan and China have made invaluable contributions to strengthening
these ties. They have donated food items to control the epidemic, vaccines and
other supplies to control the epidemic. He thanked the Chinese government and
praised China's vision for the Belt and Road Initiative.
Foreign
Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that this joint project of
Pakistan-China Economic Corridor is a game changer in the region.
Today,
China is the world's second-largest economy and has established itself in
global trade and artificial intelligence. According to him, Chairman Mao Zedong
and Prime Minister Zhou Enlai have played a historic role in strengthening ties
between the two countries. In his video link address, the Chinese Foreign
Minister said that in the last 70 years, China and Pakistan have overcome all
difficulties and established a unique iron friendship.
This
friendship has become the most valuable strategic asset of both the countries
and its roots have taken root in the hearts of the people. The two countries
have always maintained close exchanges at a high level. Seven decades ago, Mao
Zedong's long and arduous struggle in the form of the Long March in the region
led to the emergence of a new state called the People's Republic of China.
Pakistan was the first to vote for UN membership.
Then, on
May 21, 1951, formal diplomatic relations were established between the People's
Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which not only became
stronger day by day but also turned into everlasting friendship. In this
context, Pak-China friendship has become a byword in the region and the world.
And the two countries are not only in mutual economic cooperation, but also in
defense cooperation for each other's defense and share each other's strategic
priorities.
In every
hour of ordeal, Brother China supported and supported Pakistan, while in spite
of natural calamities, it never spared any effort in rehabilitating the
affected areas of Pakistan.
When
India started manipulating Chinese forces in the Arunachal Pradesh region of
China in the 1960s, India had already established military domination over the
adjoining Jammu and Kashmir and was seeking Pakistan's security. While he was
committing water terrorism on Pakistan through his own Kashmir, the two,
realizing India's expansionist ambitions, forged a defense alliance which later
turned into a natural alliance.
The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) forced the Indian warriors in Arunachal Pradesh to retreat by chewing on their noses and then when India imposed war on Pakistan in September 1965, China stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan. He spoke in support of Pakistan's position on Kashmir at every forum and also China's unwavering support for Pakistan's membership in the Nuclear Suppliers Group and for a permanent voice in Pakistan's Security Council. Has always strongly opposed India's permanent membership.
Defense
co-operation between Pakistan and China should be further strengthened during
the Manmohan Singh era when the then Indian Army Chief SK Singh, intoxicated by
India's nuclear arsenal, threatened to destroy Beijing and Islamabad
simultaneously in 96 hours. Which also guaranteed peace and security in the
region.
In this
context, an agreement was reached between China and Pakistan for a joint
project of Economic Corridor connecting Gwadar Port, which is about to become
operational today by the grace of God, which will open the door for economic
development not only for Pakistan and China but for the entire region. The
access of C-Pack countries to global markets will also brighten the prospects
for global economic growth.
The
United States and India are not turning a blind eye to C-Pac in this regard, so
both the United States and India tried to make C-Pac controversial by
expressing reservations, but China responded bluntly to their reservations.
Modi's Government of India Two years ago, on August 5, 2019, when India
illegally divided Jammu and Kashmir into two parts and annexed it to the Indian
State Union, China was the first to convene an emergency meeting of the Security
Council to demand Kashmiris' right to self-determination. Openly supported
At the
same time, when the Indian army tried to re-engage with the Chinese army on the
way to Ladakh and in Nachal Pradesh, China actually reminded India of the
holiday milk and then, for the second time, on the same Indian attempt, took it
to the extreme. There is no doubt that the unprecedented Pak-China friendship
has become a leaden plywood wall in the way of fulfilling India's nefarious
intentions, which will shatter any external force that collides with it.
Sino-Pakistani
relations have expanded over the past three decades, from defense and diplomacy
to the economy and energy, making Beijing Islamabad's largest trading and
defense partner. The first high-level official contact between the two
countries It began in 1955 between the former Prime Minister of Pakistan
Muhammad Ali Bogra and his Chinese counterpart Zhou Enlai in the banding of the
Indonesia Conference.
In the
years that followed, the contacts were made after the respective visits of the
Prime Minister of Pakistan Hussain Shaheed Suhrawardy to China and the visit of
Premier Zhou to Pakistan. However, the signing of the Border Agreement between
the two countries in 1963 Pakistan International Airlines was the first
non-profit airline to fly to China in 1964.
In
addition to supporting Pakistan in the 1965 and 1971 wars against rival India,
China supported Islamabad's efforts to maintain a balance of security in the
region after joining the Elite Nuclear Club in 1974. It was accused by Western
countries and their media of quietly helping Pakistan increase its nuclear
capability in the 1980s, despite Islamabad being the first Afghan against the
devastated Soviet Union. America was an ally in the war.
Of
course, there is no other example of Pak-China relations in the recent
diplomatic history of the world.
In December 2020, Beijing provided a soft loan of ایک 1 billion to Islamabad for the repatriation of Saudi Arabia, the second tranche of the 3 3 billion loan that Pakistan had borrowed to clear its foreign reserves in 2018. In addition, China helped Pakistan build key combat tanks such as the Al Khalid and JF Thunder fighter jets.
Islamabad
also signed an agreement in 2017 with the state-run China Shipbuilding Trading
Company and HZ Shipyard for four Chinese multi-role warship frigates. It is
Beijing, along with Turkey and Malaysia, that has taken financial action
against Pakistan. He thwarted the move to blacklist the task force. In the
so-called global war on terror, Pakistan played the role of ally and frontline
country of the United States.
Being a
part of the war, it had to bear irreparable loss of life and property, but by
burying the bitter experiences of the past, Pakistan set its sights on the
future, and in the process, China, alongside Pakistan, Is providing assistance
that is bringing Pakistan closer to economic independence.
From
agriculture to defense and communication systems to human development, the
friendship between China and Pakistan is a chapter of bilateral cooperation,
each letter of which is worth writing in golden letters, and the two
neighboring countries have set new examples of friendship and cooperation
globally. Are
Relations
between Pakistan and China are many times greater than the traditional
assistance and cooperation of the two neighboring countries, ranging from
defense cooperation to multilateral projects such as the China-Pakistan
Economic Corridor (CPEC). Is committed to the development of C-Pac, an example
of which can be seen in the case of Shanghai Operations Organization, also
known as the Shanghai Agreement, which is made up of 8 member countries, 3
observer countries, three dialogue partners and 3 It consists of guest
countries whose three main objectives are to help and cooperate with each other
in the political, economic and defense fields.
The
formal launch of cooperation between Asian countries in various fields took
place in Shanghai on June 15, 2001. However, the organization has been active
since April 26, 1996 and its founding country besides China is Pakistan, India,
Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Permanent members
while Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia have been included as observers.
Pakistan is committed to play an active role in the SCO.
The new
aspect of Pak-China friendship is that the ongoing Cold War between the two
major powers of the world (US and China) is proving to be a test for Pakistan
and the global situation is once again a different kind of Cold War that
affects global economic and trade interests. For the sake of superiority,
Pakistan needs to play a leading role and the world should not be misunderstood
as to what will be the priority of Pakistan between the United States and
China.
China's cooperation in making Pakistan's defense invincible and complete is of paramount importance, which cannot be ignored and this cooperation has entered that era of Pakistan's economic development covering other areas. Where Pakistan needs China more than ever and the two countries seem closer than ever. Such a long and warm period of relations between any two neighboring countries is extraordinary and a reflection of the fact that Pak-China friendship will continue to cover one area after another.
